Our Love Story

Our story began in 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland. Nicolas was living in Fort Lauderdale at the time, but since he is originally from Baltimore, he was home for Thanksgiving. Leah, living in Baltimore, had unknowingly become friends with one of Nicolas' best friends from high school, Nick. We both ended up at Nick's annual Thanksgiving Eve party. Nicolas is tall, Leah needed a glass from a high shelf, and after that night, we were inseparable for the rest of the weekend.

Nicolas invited Leah to Florida for Christmas, which kicked off a whirlwind long-distance relationship. We spent the next three months flying back and forth between Florida and Maryland to see each other.

At the end of February 2020, Nicolas invited Leah to join him on a vacation to Japan. Surprisingly (if you know Leah), she agreed! We spent the next 10 days exploring Japan—the most time we had ever spent together.

Little did we know, the world was about to change. At the start of the pandemic, Leah went to Florida to visit and ended up "stuck" there for seven months. Quarantining together made us realize we were in it for the long haul, and Leah officially moved to Florida in April 2021.

Since then, we have bought our first home and adopted three kitties: Jamal, Beanie, and Ace!
